Few institutions have someone like me on their regular staff. The need for the kind of expertise I’ve gained from both the examination of period textiles as well as the experience of using period stitching techniques to replicate them, is simply too rarely required.

From time to time I temporarily become part of a collaborative team to create reproduction textiles for a specific purpose. Whether you’re planning a museum based hands-on room for school visits, need to bring a period room in line with up to date scholarship, or want to recreate reproduction textiles with the eager assistance of volunteer stitchers, my experience will be valuable to your endeavor.
