This useful garment was a necessary one during the time women's clothing rarely had sewn-in pockets. Ours are made exactly like full sized, period examples, with an opening to accommodate the wearer's hand and a cotton tape to tie the pocket around her waist. Period pockets were made as singles and pairs. Since each layer of a dolls clothing adds bulk, many dolls are said to prefer the single ones. Of course, let us know if you want a matching pair and we'll put them on a single waist tie.
These miniature pockets are the right size for an 11-12" woman doll with about a 4.5" waist (also known as 1/5th scale).
Even though dolls have been played with by children since the beginning of time, child safety regulations of our time suggests that our dolls and their clothing have enough small parts to render them unsuitable for children less than 9 years old.
